Non-Resident Memberships

Forrester Woods Recreation Center offers a limited number of non-resident memberships that include access to the pool. Please see Non-Resident Memberships for additional information.

If you are interested in joining the swim team, please contact Carolyn Rutherford at [email protected] or visit the Forrester Woods Swim Team page. All swim team members must be a paying member (resident or non-resident) of the FWRC.

Key fobs

If you need new or additional key fobs for the pool (which also accesses the tennis courts and basketball/pickleball court) please call Nye Robinson at 864-442-2328 or email at [email protected] and let her know what day you will be coming by so she can have your fob(s) ready for you when you arrive. There is a fee for additional fobs.

General Rules

See the full list of rules here.

  • The pool is not open to the general public. Guests are only allowed when accompanied by a member.
  • Children under the age of 10 may NOT come to the pool and swim without an adult (or someone at least 16 years old). Children aged 10 – 12 must have permission from their parents and must demonstrate swimming proficiency to the lifeguards in order to swim without an adult.
  • The pool is not a daycare. It is expected that if children are at the pool without an adult, that an adult is home in case of emergency or need for disciplinary action. Unruly children will be sent home.
  • No glass containers of any kind are allowed anywhere inside the pool gates.
  • Food and drinks are not permitted within 5 feet of the pool edge. This means you may not carry a beverage throughout the pool, and you may not sit snacks and beverages on the edge of the pool. In other words, please keep your food and drinks at your chair or table, and clean up any trash or crumbs in order to prevent ants, flies, and bees.
  • No one may enter the guard room except for lifeguards, coaches, and other staff. Lost and found lockers are now located outside the guard room.
  • The diving boards have a 250 lb weight limit. Do not use the diving boards if you weigh more than 250 lbs. If you damage or bend the diving boards, you will be charged the full cost of a new diving board (between $6k and $9k).
