Kid Biz @ The Pool

Do your kids like to make money, raise money, sell things, or otherwise have that entrepreneurial spirit? If so, this is for you! Introducing Kid Biz @ The Pool! The Kid Biz program will allow kids to sign up for a day to have their own stand on the pool deck. They can sell lemonade, snacks, baseball cards, anything! (ok, anything appropriate for families, of course). It does not matter if they are making money for themselves or raising money for a charity. The point of the program is to provide a safe place for kids to foster their entrepreneurial skills and have some fun!

The pool will provide a tailgate tent and table, but the rest is up to the kids. The tent will be set up near the swim team room, which will allow access to a power outlet in case you want to bring a fan or anything else you might need to plug in. This program is a work-in-progress so things may change, but here are the details you need to know if your kids are interested in this program.

  • Sign up for a date here
  • Reservations will be made for a whole day. Feel free to advertise leading up to your day!
  • You may sign up for more than one day, but considering weekends and other special days will attract more people to the pool, please do not sign up for more than one Saturday. We want to give as many kids a chance as possible. I reserve the right to deny requests depending on demand and whether or not you've already had a chance.
  • Reservations will not be granted during swim team events.
  • Although your kids will be in a safe environment, the pool is not a day care. Please stay and supervise your children, especially since they will be handling money. Life guards are not responsible for monitoring the Kid Biz tent.
  • You are responsible for cleaning up your stand once your business closes for the day.
  • This program is for kids under 18 years old that belong to a family that is part of the Forrester Woods Recreational Center.
